    SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

    The Voice Chancellor’s committee which was appointed by the state government of AP has been Approved the syllabus & Scheme of AP UNIVERSITIES ASSISTANT PROFESSORS Examination.It will like to conduct the examination in two papers PAPER-I is the general paper which is common to all subjects, PAPER-II is Subject paper.

    PAPER-I: GENERAL PAPER: TEACHING AND RESEARCH APTITUDE:

    This paper is common paper for all subjects, bilingual (English &Telugu) paper. This paper shall contain 120 objective type questions in Multiple Choice, Matching type, True/False, Assertion – Reasoning type manner. A candidate shall be required to answer 120 questions. Each question shall be of one mark. The total marks allocated to this paper shall be 120 out of 400. Exam duration is 2 hours i.e. each question caries one minute. There will be negative marking @ 1/3rd i.e. 0.33% for each wrong answer.

    Questions that are designed to test a candidate’s knowledge of Teaching and Research, therefore, the test aimed at assessing the teaching and general research aptitude as well as their awareness. They are expected to posses and exhibit cognitive abilities. Cognitive abilities include comprehension, analysis, evaluation, understanding the structure of arguments and deductive and inductive reasoning. The candidates are also expected to have a general awareness and knowledge of sources of information. They should be aware of interaction between people, environment and natural resources and their impact on quality of life.

    PAPER-II:PAPER-II: CHEMISTRY PAPER:

    This paper is subject paper not common for all, conducted in their post graduated subjects. This paper shall contain 180 objective type questions in Multiple Choice, Matching type, True/False, Assertion – Reasoning type manner. A candidate shall be required to answer 180 questions. Each question shall be of one mark. The total marks allocated to this paper shall be 180 out of 400. Exam duration is 3 hours i.e. each question caries one minute. There will be negative marking @ 1/3rd i.e. 0.33% for each wrong answer.
    Questions that are designed to test a candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.
